Space Specks

Space Specks (2003) Movie Poster
USA  •    •  85m  •    •  Directed by: Rick Dunbar.  •  Starring: Tom Sellwood, Krista Welter, Greg Salomone, Clio Berney, Lou Zammichieli, Bette Cassatt, Jennifer Abbou, John C. Bailey, Phil Bolin, Anna Stoner, Robert Spuhler, Danny Brannon, Tammy Roberts.  •  Music by: Thor K. Gehrke.
While on an emergency medical mission, a starship is attacked by a tiny alien spaceship whose bark is worse than its bite. It's not easy in outer space to negotiate with an under-sized foe through an over-sexed telepath. Proof that size doesn't matter.

I've seen this film twice. Both times I laughed myself to death. I mean that in a good way. I'm huge fan of sci-fi and comedy. Rick Dunbar gave us both! This was a no-budget production, but it had a BIG story. The best scene was between Andy the android and Lt. Covel. Trying to explain the sexual side effects of her telepathic enhancing drugs. To be honest, Space Specks reminded me of my favorite Saturday morning shows from the 70s. Such as "Space Academy" and "Jason of Star Command". In fact, the first time I saw it, it was a Saturday morning. Oh yes, I was enjoying some cereal too. I say this...check this movie out. Good sets, good acting and best of all A GOOD STORY!
