In 1939 a spaceship carrying four alien escaped prisoners crash-lands on Earth and the aliens take over the bodies of four locals. Fifty years later the aliens find out that an artist has written a comic book called "Space Avenger," which they believe is about them. They go to New York to try to kill the artist.

In the late thirties two young couples, have their bodies possessed by alien reptiles and becomes really strong, are able to regenerate any kind of body damages, and sexual intercourse with earthlings create fire hazards. After some random violence, and nerdy references to older movies, they decide to go into hibernation and wait for earth technology to be up for their needs. Enter now, which seems to be 1989, where there is no trouble blending into the hipster crowd in pre-WW2 fashion. But a comic-book artist, who is too busy working to have sex, manage to notice them and use them as inspiration for his series. A crude, self- published, bw book, that still seems to be found at every news-stand.
There is all the shlocky action required of blood-spilling, slow-mo shootings, rubbery effects and boobs. One of the aliens starts drinking and when his foot is shotgunned off it regenerates as a hand! A severed arm, regenerates all the way into a full body in a pretty cool effect, that seems to be shot at a location also used in 'Combat Shock'. And Gina Mastrogiacomo get dirty with Jamie Gillis, who burns to charcoal by her alien orgasm. Later she score a cop watching the crime-scene, and do him in the very same bed! Watching her, there is no doubt she would move to bigger things.
