    When the virus hit, John lost everything; his family, friends and his future. Only Michael, another survivor and his protector, kept him from giving up. Nine months later, things are looking bleak as they begin to run out of food and supplies, and are constantly assailed by an horrific threat that comes in the cover of night. When they come unexpectedly upon Karina, another survivor, the three of them are caught in a conflict far worse than they could've imagined.

Last days is a refreshing take on a much abused genre of the end of the world. As a virus hits, two men are forced together in order to survive. Their survival is then threatened by a female survivor. The characters are developed in such a way that allows the viewer to enter their world and minds. Micheal is portrayed wonderfully so that his decent into madness is so subtle it comes as a surprising twist rather than a cliché. The music contributes beautifully to the suspense of each seen. The tension this movie builds kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Its the last twenty minutes that have you asking for more. A definite must see for movie lovers.
