I saw the film at the Otrocine Film Fest in Bogota, and I have to say that it was an amazing surprise for me.
RETURN is a film that fuses the psychological thriller, suspense and science fiction through a dynamic and concise story, that seeks to avoid any clichés of the genre and appeals more to the mystery and the imagination of the viewer than to the visual effects.
In terms of style, RETURN lies within a genre similar to Donnie Darko (Richard Kelly, 2001) or Primer (Shane Carruth, 2004), but with a much more minimalist style of science fiction. For these reasons, and although RETURN was made with a quite limited budget, it has the ability to engage the audience throughout the film until it's unique ending that will leave you thinking over and over the story for a couple of days.
