Signals (2008) Movie Poster
USA  •    •  135m  •  ...
American soldier Nick Marconi, after surviving decades of abuse and chemical experimentation, escapes from the confines of the U.S. government. While on the run, not only does he discover that he has gained powers such as telekinesis and remote viewing, but also that he has a child created through artificial insemination. The boy's powers are ten-fold that of Nick's, and after finding out that Zack and his mother are also on the run, Nick decided to find them before they are captured and "disappear" beneath the secret government cloak of experimentation and exploitation.

Signals is a great indie film with a compelling story and brilliant acting. The location shots were "right on" frequently filmed where the fictional events were to have taken place. Mr. Roman shows great maturity in his work over the years and this is a fine next step in his directing career. He also has great promise as an actor with a compelling delivery and a charm and charisma that jumps off the screen. The cast is remarkable making great use of this vehicle to further their careers and hone their skills. The skill with which the movie was edited is of the highest professional level and all the more remarkable since it was made without the financial backing of a studio.
