I just HAD to write some notes here as the only other comments were so negative. Yes this is a no-brainer action movie but it's easily saved by it's star Stephen Collins and his character, the "cowboy-scientist" David Lowell.
Lowell is busy working away on an unconventional new energy source when some dodgy business men come in and wreck his work so that they can use the canyon he's experimenting in to dump some industrial waste. Without batting an eye he charms his way into a banquet at the company headquarters, kidnaps the boss's daughter and demands his experiment is re-built! This is a fun action film where you never know what the lead actorcharacter is going to do next, and has strong eco-message that is surprisingly current for a 20-year-old movie.
