This is the second sequel to "Das Wirtshaus im Spessart". (The first sequel was "Spukschloß im Spessart" and actually quite funny, possibly even better than the original)

Let's sum up the story thus far (contains spoilers for the other movies): In the original, a contessa in medieval times meets a gang of robbers, falls in love with their leader and escapes with him to live happily ever after. His gang is caught. In the second one, his gang is tried and executed, only to return as ghosts in 1960s Germany and find the heiress contessa of the original one. They want to do good deeds (to earn their promotion from ghosts to heaven) and help her keep her castle and find her love.

And now, the contessa is married, and the ghosts are still there (where would we be without comedic relief sidekicks? You thought Jar Jar Binks was bad? Pah!. Her husband becomes an astronaut and then everything becomes really confusing, implausible and utterly stupid. The plot now involves time travelling, space travelling and lots of poor jokes. Girl dressed as boy being seduced by other girl? Yup. That's how low this movie goes. And as for the special effects, there are none.
