In 2100, the empire of Mortemonde colonize almost all the nations of the Earth and reduce their populations to slavery. The slaves are constrained to collect 1000XP every month in Battledream, a video game where we can die for real. Only those who succeed receive the right to live until the next month. Syanna, a young martinican slave, refuses to keep living in this condition and decides to fight to regain her freedom...

It doesn't get much worse than this. This may be one of the worst animated films I've ever seen, which is a shame because there is some real ambition there beneath a massive layer of sh!t. However, just because a turd has a few corn pieces in it doesn't mean you should eat it. This was probably a little too ambitions for a first time filmmaker, and I hope that in the future we might see some actually thought provoking, not incredibly stupid maybe somewhat cohesive film from Bidard. For now though, I hope nobody else has to suffer through this eternal-seeming visual rape that I had to endure.
