Overworked and in desperate need of blowing off some steam, four cheerful housewives--Jenny, Molly, Stacy, and Megan--enjoy a girls-only night out together, while their husbands are out, and the kids at camp. However, the fun is short-lived when an unforeseen zombie epidemic breaks out in the once peaceful neighbourhood, forcing the hot mums to take matters into their own hands in a fierce battle for survival of the fittest. The hordes of the ravenous walking dead are seemingly endless. Will killer looks and skill prevail over the voracious undead?

ZOMBIES is a film exactly as it sounds from the cheesy title, but it's lower budgeted than you expect and the plot could have been written on a stamp. A bunch of gun-toting middle-aged women fight back against a zombie horde, which sounds like it could be amusing as a premise, but the action is so ineptly staged and static that the film is a real bore.
There are two brief nude scenes at the film's outset in order to get the viewer's attention but the rest of it is surprisingly tame in that respect. There is a fair bit of gut-ripping gore though, which is handled reasonably well given the budget. Some viewers may be interested by the low-rent 'celebrity' cameos on offer, such as Lloyd Kaufman's.
