Since toads, blue princes and sovereigns have always been the heroes of our childhood fairy tales, the protagonist of this decidedly feminine film, whose title recalls the fairy tale world, could only be a queen. The film, which I liked very much, especially for the originality of the story, recalls a fairy tale so dear to me: "Beauty and the Beast", with the only difference that the roles are reversed. The reference environment is this world of ours, with two solitudes that are the masters, although they are experienced differently. The castle, the seat of change, has become a hotel closed to customers, in which a forty-one year old woman lives quietly and has chosen to exist in her own way, with social contacts reduced to a minimum. Then we have a man, suffering from the death of his beloved wife, who breaks into the hotel, and consequently into the life of the 41-year-old woman. He wanted to try to put his life in order. In reality, he will end up making a change in the existence of the woman. The film is both dramatic and comic: these two genres are balanced into this surreal movie. The film has the mission to investigate the loneliness of human beings, a theme usually absent in fairy tales. Attention to details, I recommend watching it. It is a fairytale movie, which deserves to be seen several times in order to be better appreciated.
