Five film students are producing a documentary about the local zoo when suddenly the animals go berserk: The reason is a light ball flying by in the sky and crashing at the horizon. Convinced that they've just witnessed a meteor landing the students follow the trajectory to document the event with their camera. In a forest area they discover a burned crater. Since it's too dark to film they decide to spend the night in their van. The next morning one of them is missing. The remaining students find first a trail of blood and then the torn up pieces of what used to be their friend. Soon they realize that something is hunting them - something that's not from this world.

Film Students in Germany witness something strange fall from the sky and go on a wild goose chase. Hoping to get recognition from what they discover.

Although this was entertaining, had nice effects, well paced, with decent acting, I was still amazed at what a rip off this movie was. Like other films before it, it copies everything that made the Blairwitch Project unique and creepy. But unlike the Blairwitch it's bloody and more action packed. Very similar to the Blairwitch 2016 remake.

If you've seen BP and other found footage in the horror genre, you'll keep saying to yourself ''oh I've seen that before'', over and over again, while watching it. It did try to add new ideas like the characters tying rope around each other, so they would know if anything bad was happening while they slept. It was almost like they were hintingbeing self aware and saying ''other movies just like this weren't smart enough to think of this'' wink wink.
