Human mind is the most complex device - and this film is a firm reminder to that. Deeply philosophical and aesthetically brilliant Ghost of the Golden Groves is basically Wittgenstein in Cinema-Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. Most of the films that are heavily intellectual andor academic don't offer much to the common idiot-box audience. But this film has multiple layers to offer, the people who do not like to struggle with their hypothalamus will enjoy the ultra cool music, the cinematography, the stories being "weird" or "bizarre" or just crazy for that matter. Truly- it's hard to find a match for this film, even though there are multiple references that we can find out and connect to. Both the stories speak about the Forest and it's superior aura, both in the past and in the future. Both men are "engulfed" by the forest in their own will and so are the viewers.
